This year India celebrated 150th birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi whom many refer to as Bapu fondly.  Pandit Lal Bahadur Shastri's birth anniversary is also on October 2nd.   Lal Bahadur Shastri dedicated his entire life towards the welfare of poor. 

Sandesham held a speech competition in honor of Mahatma Gandhi and La Bahadur Shastri.  Students participated in all the three categories: junior, middle and senior, and were awarded prizes.
